    Medora fire

I believe it was in reference to the once numerous burning coal veins. Probably shoulda been named The Smoldering Hills Amphitheater. The musical is something I remember as a kid back in the early 70s, nowadays I make it out there once in a while and still enjoy watching the gals dance and...

    Explain "blowing the bait fish"

Ah hah, now we're getting somewhere. Oceanic waves, or basically waves in the middle of a body of water do in fact, mix very little. But when waves come crashing on a SHORELINE, which is kind of the topic of this thread, waves do indeed mix the water a lot. It beats the hell out of the shore...

    Open Water Watch 2021

It's not the amplitude of the waves, it's the frequency that's different between Sak and most saltwater locations.

    Explain "blowing the bait fish"

One would have to define "surface", but I get your point. Waves don't mix as deep as a layperson would think. - - - Updated - - - Of all the things I've never done, somebody please stop me before I do! Right! We who have shorefished the ocean know the importance of the rip current! They...

    Explain "blowing the bait fish"

KDM is thinking kinda similar as to what I've always thought. The choppy waters do stir things up, so the baitfish may have somewhat higher chances of finding a meal themselves, but they are primarily looking to hangout where they are harder to find themselves. That's in the muddier waters...

You know, I consider myself a fairly smart guy, with an interest in shit that goes bang. But DAMNIT, I'm not even sure I'm qualified to read the shit you put on here at times. It's a whole 'nother language...

Nah, they're soft and harmless. The top one kind of reminded me of a sour tasting banana in orange-like segments, the bottom one is kind of like a skinned grape.

    Boulder

Oh, but they did. There are any number of sound bites they provided about how it was all Trump and the Republican's fault for not allowing "common sense" gun control and sarcastically adding they only offer "thoughts and prayers". Lots of political hay was made with all of them.

Me. not so much. Sasha took an awful lot of paper and time to simply say that dragonfruit are a bland disappointment when compared to its hype and advertising. Kind of reminds me of the time an English class assignment required us to use 1.5 - 2 pages of double spaced text to describe an...

    used boat prices

Nah, it's worth about 13-14k to me. People may spend more than that for one, but I have a LOT of use on this one. Besides, even if a motor, transom, or ??? were to present a problem, I'd be money ahead getting this one back on the water. It's a great hull. Period... - - - Updated - - -...

    used boat prices

Let's remember, those 2-3 yr old 20 ft glass boats were $75-90k new. Hell, they're above $100k nowadays. That being said, I too would like a new floater (at least, new to me). I've had my 2004 Fisherman with the Yamaha 115 4S since 2006, and while it's been a GREAT boat/motor combo, the itch...

    Another record walleye?

Oh, I'm sure there were fish there, but we didn't catch a thing. We fished from 4:30-7:30, there were about 8 boats fishing the honeyhole there. We ran north and pulled cranks up shallow going towards Eckroths. Nothing! Went back to fish the honeyhole area a little before 7 and nary a boat...

    Cross Ranch State Park

Several years ago I had a lot of luck with shallow running cranks along the east shoreline north of the Wilton ramp during that time of year. That has changed so much though that it is no longer the honey hole it once was.
