    Missouri River rise

no one is saying it can't happen again what we are saying is the corp needs to be proactive to minimize the chance that is doesn't happen again. in 11 the corp had a daily average outflow of 14.6 for March and 14.4 for April and this was after the state pleaded with them in January to lower...

    Sakakawea water level?

If the inflows keep where they are at and the corp doesn't increase outflows the lake will top out at 1854 in about 10 to 15 days. With the recent rains they have no choice but to crank up the discharge at garrison but to what 50,000, 60,000, 70,000 or maybe more but you can count on the...

    Sakakawea water level?

Todays inflows are running 100,000 cfs and releasing 39,900. The lake has been rising anywhere from .2 to .5 feet per day and this doesn't account for any of the rains Montana or NW ND had last week.

    Lake sakakawea water levels

any crest prior to 1953 should be in a different category as they were all prior to the dam. Also your claim of crest is meaningless when the lake is low and can tolerate above average runoff

    Lake sakakawea water levels

Do some research on how many times the lake has risen 15' or more. If fishing is the primary reason for the dam then I agree with you but if flood control is what it was designed for that is what it should be managed for - - - Updated - - - https://www.usbr.gov/power/legislation/fldcntra.pdf

    Trespasser~

not that I agree with trespassing but I think this landowner could be opening himself up to legal issues or a civil lawsuit if a trespasser received injuries
