Some will point out one corruption to justify their favorite corruption. Billy did it so it's ok for me to do it attitude. Meanwhile the American citizen gets shafted twice. I hope that mentality doesn't work for sportsmen.

    Patience is a virtue

:) Some days a person feels like they are surrounded by idiots. This turned out to be funny because the guy thought I was taking a picture of his bike because I admired it, not because he was taking up much more space than he needed.

Exactly, and that's why I say never trust a democrat with your guns and never trust a republican with your public land. The reason they want to sell it is because they want to buy it. Sell our land to them. Good bye freedom to walk free. Zombies in our homes with no where for outdoor...

As far as closing roads I think your right. There may also be one other component. The cut in their budget could be another reason. I think both things contribute, but it's the bunny hugger attitude that is most at fault. I think it would be reasonable to allow another east/west access about...

    Table Refinishing Help?

About six layers of Tung is very durable, but like I said if it's durability you want go to Minwax Spar urethane. It's a marine grade urethane.

    Table Refinishing Help?

I have used Minwax stains and urethanes for years. On nice wood I like to hand rub Tung oil. For durability spar urethane.

    Access

Seriously do you read any of my posts? In the past I hiked in miles to hunt. Today with meds for AFib and a stent it's tough to get into the backcountry, but where there is a will there is a way. Scapegoat Wilderness four days ago:

How about no corner hopping of public land to private property do you think anyone would complain about that? The landowners would go bat shit crazy, but screwing the public is ok.

    Garden Help

Grass or garden I just throw a bag on the mower and sift grass clippings over the seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Water penetrates it, the plants grow up through it, and you don't have to remove it.

How heavy of camper can I pull?

I think we are on camper number six. My first was a 24ft travel trailer. I bought a new 1993 GMC half ton with a 350. The dealer said I could pull any camper I wanted. Nope. So we traded for a new 5600 pound fifth wheel. Couldn't do a good job with that either so we bought a ultralight 23...

    North and South Dakota

My neighbor does that too. Corn leaves blow in all the neighbors yards every winter. Yup, corn every year. Not to mention I would guess within a couple weeks he will choke me with herbicides. Why is the wind always west when he sprays? Hard to get angry with him though since we have known...

    Catching nightcrawers

Dean my yard is like yours. Darn near killing the grass in some areas. I picked 175 just under my pear tree. Didn't get to go fishing and they are getting old, but the Koi enjoy a dozen or two every now and then. If my Koi are really really hungry so are the fish in the reservoir next to me.

What are your plans for ice season 2018?

My plan is to sell my $10K Ice Castle if I can for about $6500 and fish a couple times in my portable. More coyotes as Petras mentioned, and less fishing. By the time the ice is thick enough I would rather be looking for coyotes or hanging out nice and toasty in my reloading room. When I was...

I heard some crazy stories about a deputy Wolf in Devils Lake years ago. That's your neck of the woods. I would be curious if that name ever floated past you.

    Memorial Day

Hats off to all veterans today. Not only have they served their country and it's people, but they preserved the freedom for many people in Europe, and brought freedom to those who dared not hope in many other parts of the world. God Bless. Let us not only recognize their sacrifice, but also...

DIY Duracoat - It can be done

That is excellent workmanship SY. I bought a bottle of degreaser. The contents said Isopropyl alcohol. Ever since I have been using the newer Heat that you put in your gas tank in winter. The new Heat for new cars is Isopropyl so that's all I have been using for years to degrease. Wear...
