Hey! Now THERE is a guy who's thinking!

    380 for CC

Agreed. I have a XDM Mod2, in 9MM, and love it. - - - Updated - - - I know for a fact, that I can shoot a hole in the garage roof, using a hammer. Also, WD-40 is flammable enough to light a license plate on fire.

    The Holy Boat

Nailed it! I didn't even think of that aspect. Yes, Ima fish this lake, but only in this 5 degree cone beneath the boat. It's neat - I have to think however, that it could certainly be duplicated with a flasher, right beside the boat, without heavy mods...

    Found Fishing Knife

Ahem, that was me. If it appears to have migrated from Minnewauken, and appears to have been sitting out about 10 years, and if it's nice Buck knife with a brown plastic sheath - well then, it's mine. Kidding aside, I would love to replace that knife. The fillets being gone was just a slap...

    Spinning reel

Yup, great reel for the money. Or, two Presidents ($50 each). Wear one out, then grab a new one..

    Flood waters

I find that fluctuating levels in the Missouri River give the fish a little bit of lockjaw. However, when the water levels are going up, the fishing is better than when the levels are dropping. Steady water levels are best. High, low, I don't think it matters a lot, as long as it's steady.

Zebra Mussels Discovered in Lake Ashtabula

On the radio today at lunch, they said that the walleye from Ashtabula, that WERE going to be transplanted, are now going right back in Ash.. - - - Updated - - - I agree. A) I do not mind fishing at night at all. B) While I don't like change, sometimes worrying about the change, is worse...

    Backpack found at Heneger Landing

I would like to report a missing fillet knife. The last decent manual one I owned. Was a nice 9" buck fillet knife. Right next to it was a whole pile of walleye fillets. Not making this up. Was maybe 10 years ago, in Minnewaukan. Rum may have been involved.

    Amazing!!

If the mercury in my teeth doesn't kill me, then the radium on the arms of my wrist watch will. And if that doesn't, then I'll likely trip and drown some night. And if that doesn't get me, I'll probably die of ice cream poisoning, which I'm working at - steadily.

    Spoons, again...

This report makes my face smile. good for you!

    Snagless set up for rocks

If I was you, I'd take KDM up on it. If he or MSA can't teach you how to jig on rocks.. well, I guess there's always stamp collecting.

    G&F Violations

You would have loved it when trying to run errands downtown, and businesses (my bank for instance) had their doors locked, so that protesters couldn't get in. That made me feel neat. I totally understand however, why they locked their doors.

    Amazing!!

I know that a dead fish is a dead fish, but when keeping fish, I bleed them about 10 or 15 minutes before I leave the river. I have a little scissors, for just this purpose. Hold gill cover open, and snip several of the red gills. Bigger fish may need both sides snipped. I use an ax on...

    G&F Violations

Agreed. The law is the law. Without teeth in the penalties/fines, the law often is, and will continue to be, ignored. Jail those 54 guys for 30 days each. I know, I know. But it costs so much. Take their vehicle, sell it at an auction, and use THAT to help pay for their bread and water...

Peta is asking fishermen to be vegan

I dunno.. maybe.. Just ask Moses I guess... ;) - - - Updated - - - Honestly, I wonder if they go back to their Marlboro smoking, Budweiser drinking buddies, amidst a flurry of high-fives and up-tops.. Dude! I got my fin up! Don't leave me hangin'...

    Don't go down this road......

Ouch! LOL. Right now he's probably looking at his hands, trying to figure out if they'd fit around your neck. Kidding, but not kidding. But kidding.

    Reels

Same. My number one rod, for pretty much all but pike-specific fishing, is a lower-end Loomis with a Patriarch. Time after time, fish after fish, no troubles. Any mess-up is completely this guy's mistake. Casting cranks into the wind, at night, especially when it's cold out, equals snarls...

    Stizo :)

In that case, pardon my sarcasm. I remember you from Fishing Buddy. I think I like your sense of humor.. Carry on.. (salutes screen)
