    6.5 CM for Elk?

Actually, I'd say #1 is what distance is the OP 100% confident of connecting w/vitals? Then fret the projectile, after that the headstamp.

    Putting Camso tracks on...

2 friends have them on 825's. 0 issues. - - - Updated - - - I've owned my ATV and tracks for 10yrs. 0 problems with any steering or suspension components. 750 Suzuki, I run it in low with the tracks. Honestly, even if I could run it in high @ 40MPH, I wouldn't be able to hang on...

    6.5 CM for Elk?

Yes, I throw the odd zinger @ the 6.5Creed-Crowd. That said, the 6.5CM has been the most properly executed product launch of a wildcat into the mainstream shooting/hunting community ever. They first and foremost got the twist right for current as well as future projectiles. They have the...

    Fillet Knives

Love my HD Rapala, be careful on the 1st couple fish though. Cycle speed is quite a bit faster and if you push your blades you'll zip right through the spine. Let the knife do the work. - - - Updated - - - You're the frog in boiling water. I foresee stitches in your future.

    Fillet Knives

Rapala Heavy Duty body if you know you're going to be where you have power all the time. I used to be a fan of the 6" blades, lately I've gone the other direction, 9" because they have a little more flex and IMO/IME do a better job getting ribs out and leaving meat behind on the fillet. Rapala...

    Merc 150 prop?

Because plowing to get on plane is "wet" especially w/any chop at all and with the nose in the air you can't see very well.

    Transom Saver

I use a My Wedge and some plastic things that snap over the steering ram to stop the motor from turning. Boat's on it's 7th season and no issues running that way so far.

hotels in North Dakota for fishing trips

If you're coming from the E along Hwy 2, give this some serious thought. Lancaster border crossing is much more "fisherman friendly" than Pembina.

Must be a Crestliner because I can tell even @ that distance that the Transom is ROTTEN!

    New Boat Prop Selection

If you're pulling tubes/boards/skiers etc. the 4 might be an advantage. It'll generally improve holeshot, cornering, tracking on plane w/sidewind/current, and might allow you to stay on plane at a lower speed. All of the improvements generally come at the cost of lower top speed.

    New Boat Prop Selection

You could easily shed a blade and at least 2 degrees of pitch. Max RPM is 6300 for that motor. If you can "try before you buy" I'd look for a 15-16 pitch SS w/more diameter.

What RPM @ WOT? What's it not doing well that you want to improve upon?

Pulling the Reserve Out of the Trees

I haven't looked for your outboard, but I know for lawn mowers and other small engines, sometimes a whole new carb isn't much more than a carb tune-up kit.

    Need a different pack

I think that's pretty much how everyone learns that lesson. Sooner or later a person figures out that you DON'T need 50 rounds of ammo and 2-3 outfits/day worth of clothing. Also, tablets or a filter weigh a lot less and take up a lot less room than 3 cases of bottled water...... You have to...

    New garage door opener?

Can a person still buy a screw-drive opener? I replaced our old chain drive with a screw-drive unit and I like it. Much quieter and no "herky-jerky".
