    Yup, until I had kids, I didn't realize how much fun they were. Two biggest (little kid) milestones. Sleeping through the night, and no more diapers. A close third is when they can buckle themselves into a carseat.

    People ask why I go fishing so late. This is why. I usually only go after my kids have gone to bed. Nice spring night, and I'm just arriving at 9PM. Don't want to miss any more of their day(s) than I have to.

    I am usually pretty careful when reeling up. When the bobber stop gets close to the tip of my rod, I usually give it a pump and then drop the tip quick-like, so the rod is pointed at the fish, and crank the stop through quick, then pump back up. It takes a little practice, and might not work...

    Careful on the roof(s). Not only can they obviously be slippery, but shingles are incredibly brittle at 30 below. Easy to break shingles, and pay for the damage later. I won't go on my roof in the winter, unless I have a real reason.
