    Trolling motor upgrade

Hah, I'm not even sure I have a fishing rod worthy of casting from a 219! I love, love, love, the features of an Ulterra. Sure wish Minnkota would work on its durability.

    Dicamba Drift?

Not to worry, Doug Goering has already said it will stay in use under licensing from the state of ND. I wonder how/why he thinks ND can label it for use if the feds pull it? Is this kinda like medical MJ where the feds will simply look the other way?

    Hail claims?

Once the insurance company cuts the check, I have to imagine they will expect it to be repaired in a timely manner. Otherwise you will be paying insurance costs for insuring your home (including the roof) even though the insurance company won't pay you for the roof if another storm were to come...

    Hail claims?

I say let your insurance company send out an adjuster. They will determine the damage and how much they are going to pay, then you get to decide how to go forward. Cracked shingles are hard to see from the ground, but once you get up on the roof and start looking they will stand out if you...

    Trolling motor upgrade

Ok, so my Ulterra finally took a shit on me out of the blue. One day it was working fine, the next it wouldn't deploy. Turned out to be the drive unit that lifts the shaft up and down. A.G. Repair got me up and running pretty quickly but even with his refurbished part, it was a $329 fix...

    Pollen allergies

ndfinfan, Not sure how, but probably because of the dry May (and April, and June) at my place, the pollen just hasn't been washed away. I think I've had around 35 hundredths of an inch of rain over the past 8 weeks. Dry as a bone here. FlyCarpin, yeah...once in a while the beer stuffs me up...

    Pollen allergies

I didn't really have any allergies growing up, now dust, sawdust, and some pollen bother me. It's not bad enough for me to take anything, once I shower and blow the snot out of my nose I am good again. As far as pollen right now? My driveway is YELLOW, mostly from pine and spruce trees. It's...

BRP - Evinrudes parent company, will stop making ETECS and G2’s

Yep, Merc bought Yamaha 4S engines and married them up to Merc lower units for a number of years. Late nineties through early 200s? I love my Yamaha 4S. That SOB has been nothing but dependable.

    Chokecherry Trees...

https://www.thoughtco.com/manage-trees-with-suckers-and-watersprouts-4169401 Chokecherries are no more a "tree" than is a juneberry. They grow in dense thickets in nature and will want to do that all the time, even if you only bought one.

    go to tent caterpillar spray?

In reality, I use pyrethrin and permethrin. They seem to work. The problem I have is reaching high up into chokecherry and other fruit trees with ordinary sprayers. What's out there to get 20 ft up with spray?

    Wild Raspberries

Both raspberries and strawberries tend to produce the best fruit on 2-3 yr old plants. So often when you see them in the wild they don't look like much because you may very well be looking at older canes and plants.

    go to tent caterpillar spray?

Already? Or are you just prepping? I'd use DDT if I could find the stuff. I'll be damned if I don't hate those c-suckers!

The start of DFH ( warning pic heavy )

Holy cow! Get that thing pumped! ASAP. So here's the deal with septics. 1. Food and human feces are pretty close to the same thing. They are organic and will decompose when given the chance. So people who grumble about disposals are a little off base. However, if you grind up things...

    Potatoes - Hill or no?

I used mounds for several years. Yes, the yield is greater, I think. However, you run the risk of a good percentage of your spuds getting exposed to daylight. This is a bad deal, they turn green and are less desirable, at a minimum. - - - Updated - - - I'd say, if you have tight soils...put...
