Fixing a scratch in sparkly fiberglass.

That's one nice thing about having a beat up old Lund. It'll not look any worse after the next couple years of me teaching the kids how to drive and dock it. Well, they've been driving already for a couple years, but mostly out in the middle of deep water with nothing to hit but waves. Maybe...

    Ticks

Note, you can buy cans of permethrin based spray for your clothing at places like Runnings. I picked some up last week. About $7-9 a can, depending on the brand.

    Scheels High end coolers

Screw you, I gave mine away after it kept freezing my damn beer. Might have been defective but internet research suggests the damn things are designed that way.

    Emmons County Break-Ins

Someone's risking getting shot. Hadn't heard of this before now, but am no longer surprised by human nature.

    Blame the turkey hunters

I haven't gone back to look, but according to someone sympathetic to their cause, some of my posts on their were deleted. Not by me... Oh well, I will continue to operate as I have for most of my life. I've never liked group punishment for individual actions, those supporting this effort seem...

    Blame the turkey hunters

So long as there's an openable gate, it's not illegal to run a fence across a section line (as I interpret this guy's minimum maintenance road to be).

 Why so late to the party?

V has a new friend on facebook

Yep, my bad. The $480k for a MT sheep was a few years ago. I can't even imagine how much $$$ I'd have to have laying around to plunk that much coinage down on a single hunting tag.

I was thinking of a wall on your east side, and my suggestion would be to make Minnetucky pay for it. And no, you cannot get a moose tag in ND as a NR. It's a once-in-a-lifetime deal for even us residents. You can get a bighorn tag though. I think it costs right around $89,000 this year...

    Anyone else ever see this!

Yes! In my backyard. But the bastards prefer strawberries.

    Zander spawn in nests

NO! ND burned bridges with every state in the Missouri River basin when it stocked Zander into Spiritwood. Not only may they carry diseases that can affect walleye (at least), but isn't there also a possibility of them cross breeding and mucking up the genetics of our much beloved walleyes...

    japanese balloon bombs

They are indeed an ingenious race of people. FWIW, ever since that ass-thumping handed to them by the U.S. known as WWII, they as a group are really anti-military and pro-peace. They are by far our best ally in that part of the world.

It would appear that SD also needs a wall.

    Regrets a few

Yeah, I got the news a couple months ago that a fella I did a couple years in the Corps with over in Japan passed away. I hadn't talked to him in 20+ years, and had only briefly messaged with him over Facebook a few times a couple years ago. Nonetheless, he was only in his late 40s and it gave...

What kind of minnow/fry is it?

My pond is full of both fatheads and stickelbacks. I am wondering if you may not be tossing your trap too deep. They are pretty shallow right now at my place.

    Missouri River rise

Oops, I thought that was a more recent post. Nonetheless, here's the current out west right now. So far it's pretty tame. I still think the Missouri near Williston will rise over the coming weeks (shocker, I know) but this isn't exactly a problematic water level over at Billings. Nor does...

    Big Muddy

Yep, because when the news and conversations about a tourney are going on, I've not once ever heard "they caught 37.4 lbs of fish with a 14.2 lb eye being the biggest". The reason there's pushback on this is because it's a frigging lie. The winning weight was something below 34 lb, the biggest...

    Towtector

My only real issue with the Towtector (I've had the same one since 2009) is that it gets really poofy after having been used on slushy/muddy trails. The thing really gathers the mud and ice.
