    Looks like a epoxy paint for garage floors where you can roll it on and add flakes to it.     I had that problem to guy when I had the pro view ice ducer (pro view is garbage IMO), put the tri beam ducer much better when targeting fish on the lake bottom. Now if vex could make a gps enabled unit that would work just fine.

    I like the tri beam ice ducer on the 28 much better in dialing in on the bottom in 30+ feet of water. Also I like the auto depth digital read out.
