Will be a bit of a learning curve for a senior citizen but an amazing piece of technology. Would like to re-kindle some old and likely diminished photography skills when time allows.

Ha agreed I went with the mavic 3 classic damn good camera with zoom and totally stable in winds 20mph but had toget a recreational license to fly it and be legal nda"catdaddy" walk me thru fuctions and pointed out dji videos very helpful insight he flies 2s.... picked up a mini 4 as my nephews eyeballing my mavic wasn't happening mini 4 has same features as my mav and alot of fun as it's so maneuverable and once I downloaded the "geo fencing app" no worries the little yahoos won't spy on neighbors down the road.

Well so much for DJI recreational drones in America, just read the Fcc put the kibosh on DJI drones 12/22/2025... new purchases. A guy can't have any fun dang-it.

That is where I was a few years ago. We live on the Missouri and had someone piloting a drone along the shoreline (from a pontoon) a number of times over a couple of months several years ago. Neighbors expressed concern to Burleigh Co Sheriffs dept and their only advice was to not shoot it down! While in Florida last winter, I took a drone class with the intent of better understanding the technology. It resulted in a purchase of a DJI Air 3S. While still a novice, I have over 90 flights logged and continue to be amazed by the technology and photo / video capabilities of the drone. As a recreational pilot, I do not fly it in residential or populated areas.
