    Reloading Newbie Questions?

You should hit me up when you sell it. I might buy it from you.... The Chargemaster is neither precise nor very efficient. I have one. Two on the other hand, would be pretty efficient. They are slow and throw inconsistent charges. It would be better to throw a light charge and use a trickler...

NDA Ammo and Reloading Component TRADE thread

Fuck it.... Might as well add: CCI 250 or Fed GM215M primers Rl26, H1000 or N570 ADG 300 prc Brass ( yeah right, placing backorders now for ADG and Lapua at multiple retailers) Hornady 212 ELDX or Berger 215 hybrids

NDA Ammo and Reloading Component TRADE thread

You seem to be constantly on the watch, and good at locating things. I would sure appreciate if you could keep an extra eye out for some Precision Hunter 300 PRC 212 ELDX. I suck at this shit. Was finally able to locate some 225 Match last night, but at $75/box plus $30 shipping, and not being...

    Arrow Building

Broadheads, specifically fixed blade broadheads, have more drag and control over steering the arrow than field points. Small rest adjustments move a BH tipped arrow much more than a FP. The idea is your BH will "catch up" to the same POI as the FP.

    Arrow Building

You really need to BH tune. The further out you can consistently do it, the better.. BH tuning would be of much greater importance than experimenting with different fletching configurations IMO. Your left BH impact indicates a stiff spine (which is Ok, better than weak), and the low impact...

    Arrow Building

It's a frustrating, never-ending rabbit hole, with a shit ton of variables. I honestly hate it! But then, I'm not an expert at it either. I guess the first question is, where are your BH's hitting in relation to the FP? I assume you've probably looked into BH tuning already, and possibly...

I've never played with 4 fletch, so no opinion there. Are you experiencing accuracy issues with BH?

NDA Ammo and Reloading Component TRADE thread

Permanent increases are coming I'm afraid. And in some cases, may already be here. I saw where a guy was watching Noslers site for 3 months to buy his Trophy Grade ammo if it ever came in stock. Price just increased 30% from last week on Nosler's site. I doubt you will see that decrease anytime...

NDA Ammo and Reloading Component TRADE thread

I am looking for Hornady Precision Hunter 300 PRC 212 ELD-X ammo. Unfortunately most of my ammo, and all reloading components are packed up in storage for house project. Would appreciate a PM if you come across any on a shelf, maybe I can make arrangements to purchase. When I get access to my...

Nonresident Montana Elk/Deer licenses may go to outfitters?

Playing devils advocate.....that was 10 years ago. What has changed? An undeniable boom in Western hunting, and overcrowding of public lands. I would suspect a fair amount of R MT hunters might now be for this, again. It would take nearly 40% of the NR pressure away from the public lands? Fly...

    First Aid Kits

We all probably know someone who have cut themselves on those stupid Havalons, right? Last year was my turn. Pretty sure I sliced into my radial artery at the base of my thumb. Tape and gauze pads didn't work, at all. Luckily my brother had Quickclot. That has now earned a permanent place in my...

    Free range chickens

We cut the head off a rattler in the badlands once and tossed the rest of it in a ziploc for the grill later on. Opened the tailgate and it slithered out of the bag in the front of the box all the way to the back. Blood trail and all. Not relevant I know, but reminded me of it.

    Waterfowl snack sticks

I agree 50/50 with pork butt will be sufficient. I dont trim the butts at all. Made 10lbs of elk sticks a couple weeks and they were pretty spot on for fat/moisture. Just dont overcook them.

Bill being introduced to allow Pink

^^^^ Same thing with arrow vanes. Flo pink is consistently mentioned in various online threads as being the most visible, to the most people. I run 2 flo orange and 1 white vane, and they can be tough to see on target in different light conditions, and really tough to find in the grass when you...

New Land Bills: SB 2036, 2037 and 2038

I agree with this. This is the best solution, hate to say it. I would love to see it stay as is, but that's not happening.

How to preserve hunting when all land is posted

Please provide specifics as to how the current NDGF mgmt of our natural resources, and lack of forward thinking will negatively impact the next generation. (Good god I sound like GST). I'm genuinely curious.

    Reticles

Front Focal, MOA or Mil elevation and windage hashes, matching turrets. Hunting and target shooting. I have no experience with busy "Christmas Tree" reticles. May try one in between what is described above, and a full blown Horus (busy tree) at some point just to see. I do a combo of dialing...
