    New Boots

I bought these last year. Surprisingly, they are very comfortable and warm. So warm that I quite wearing wool socks with them. I don't know how long they will last, but I guess I will find out.

    Lake Access Post Storm

Hopefully there won't be much slush with sub-zero temps all week. I am on vacation next week and plan to hit some prairie pot holes.

    Electric Ice Auger Recommendations

I can also tell you to keep the drill power on 1. After a few beverages in the garage, I decided to see how fast the Milwaukee would spin the auger on 2 speed. The cover flew off and hit me in the ankle. It's been over a month and my ankle still isn't back to 100% Hard lesson learned

    Electric Ice Auger Recommendations

When I went to buy mine, ACME has a package deal for the augers/drills. I went in to order it and Milwaukee was running a promo. I got the drill, two batteries and the charger for $230. Plus an extra drill (drill only) for $1.00. I think the auger bit was also around $200. So I got two drills...

    Electric Ice Auger Recommendations

I did the same thing this year. I went with the Eskimo Pistol bit and the Milwaukee M18 fuel hammer drill. Very light weight and easy to store/pack in a sled. I drilled 11 holes in 10 inches of ice and still had three of the four battery power lights. So far I am loving it.

    Livescope Accessories

We bought one toward the end of the season last year. The one for sure upgrade is going to be a lithium battery. The current lead acid battery only lasts about 6 hours. I have also been looking into a different pole, but haven't decided which route I want to go yet. A lot of people are going to...

    More Snow Next Week?

I am also getting tired of it already. And like some have said, it is a form of moisture, and we do need plenty of that.

    Bringing back wild bison

I don't think it would be a good idea to have them free roaming all over the state. However, then G&F could have the big 4 instead of the big 3 and it will be another tag I will never draw.

    Black Friday Deals

Probably the same people that were walking on the ice, next to open water, on the river in Bismarck a few years back.

Afraid to go in the water

There was a decent sized one hanging out by The Pier all summer. I also cam across a little guy in the middle of 43rd about where Legacy HS is. I spun around to make sure that's what it was and sure shit. I thought about picking it up and taking it home with me, but I left it alone.

    Ole Reliable, Ice Fishing Lure

I did this with a Lindy glow spoon last year. The fish wanted nothing to do with it.

    Ole Reliable, Ice Fishing Lure

I started using Bink's spoons last year and pretty much stuck with those. The wife mostly stuck with the hot pink PK.

    ICE

I was thinking the same thing, and I am not looking forward to it. I can handle the cold, but I do not like all the snow. I guess we can look on the bright side and it will hopefully help improve our water systems in the spring.
