    Thanksgiving Dinner - Any Shake-ups?

Anyone straying from the traditional Thanksgiving meal this year? My wife hates turkey, so I'm going brisket this year. We typically do a turkey and a ham, but I'd rather have brisket than either of those. Smoked a turkey a couple years ago. Ok, but still turkey. Made a turkey roulade one...

    Water Heaters: Tankless vs Traditional

I thought about putting one in...took three slots in electrical box versus one for regular water heater. No room to expand without electrician, so sent that idea away.

Hammered Grey Beard just trying to help.........

Good thread. I remember buying a dozen mallard floaters when I didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out...life got in the way, like it sometimes does, and I haven't hunted waterfowl in a lot of years. Wonder where those dekes are...

How many men still know how to butcher???

I am definitely not a good butcher, but can hack up a deer and get the meat. I'm usually grinding and making sausage, so it works. Don't really have a great place to do it, so do take to butcher sometimes. Someday, when I have time, I'm going to "help out" someone who actually knows what...

    Medical Billing

100 years ago, I applied for a claims specialist (or something like that) position wirh BCBS. After answering a few questions with things like "I would do everything I could to make sure the customer was granted everything they were entitled to," I got the feeling that wasn't what they were...

    Top Five Worst Deer Bullets?

Seems to me that these days, if you can find it, that's what you're shooting. Doesn't matter if it's good, bad, or ugly. If it fits in your rifle and goes bang, that's your huckleberry.

    Dewalt cordless lawn tools.

I still like gas. There's nothing quite as satisfying as shouting "You f**king piece of sh*t!" loud enough for the neighbor three houses down to hear after pulling the cord 200 times. Battery-powered will never catch on.

    New To Hunting Help Appreciated!

Just when I'd finally convinced myself that everyone sucks, you guys come along and ruin it. Enjoy your time out. Deer or not, just spending some time quietly watching all that is out there is in itself a reward.

    Superman?

So, what does everyone think they hope to accomplish with this kind of stuff. Are we to believe that there is a group of pinheads sitting in a board room somewhere thinking "You know what would really unite us? We'll make Superman bisexual, then we'll have him fight for climate change and open...

    Meatloaf recipe

I usually sear each side of a slice of meatloaf in some butter after cooking it. Saw it on some show, and do it most of the time now. Gives it a little crust and makes it that much better. I usually use some version of the "piquant" sauce, but have never heard it called that.

    Ground blind...

Rifle hunting. Thanks for the input on the last couple posts. I wasn't really looking until I saw one in the Fleet Farm ad, then my interest was peaked a bit. See Sam's has one that comes with 2 stools for $100, so may look into that one also. 66" center height, so a little short, but...

    Ground blind...

I've seen some pretty decent hay bail blinds, but wasn't sure about the weight.. Typically can't drive onto PLOTS, so thought that would probably rule them out.

    Meatloaf recipe

Anyone have a meatloaf recipe they love? Meat is getting so expensive, especially beef, that a guy has to try stretch it a bit. Laat few times I've made one, I've went roughly 2-1 beef to bacon. Got the cheaper ends and pieces and ground it. I usually use bloody Mary mix instead of ketchup...
