    Tikk...I was on Audubon yesterday in the jon boat...no ice yet. All the snow coming in the next few days shouldn't hurt ice build too much.

    Yes...the quicker the better! I am discovering I don't like this down time between open water and ice up. Last spring the lakes opened up so quick it seemed like it was only a couple weeks between when the ice was no longer safe and when I could get the boat in the water!

    Yea...was thinking we would need 2 solid weeks of lows in the teens...highs no more than mid 30's. Guess light wind and cloudy days would help too! Hoping maybe the weekend of Dec 2-4 might be able to get on smaller lakes?

    Thanks ny...2 weeks ago the dock at Stevenson was still in as well. Can always launch at Camp of the Cross without a dock...just easier for us old timers to launch boats at docks! Actually the launching part is easy...it's the jumping off the bow part coming back to shore that can be tricky!

    Auger blades sharpened...ordered a Clam insulated flip over. Before we close the door on this year's open water season...anyone know what docks are still in the water on Sak and Audubon? Weather gonna be nice this weekend...want to take the boat out one last time!

    Agree completely with jack's post above...many parents want so desperately to be "accepted" by their children that they forget about parental responsibilities. Be a parent first...plenty of time when children are adults to be their friend. Studies have shown children thrive in stable structured...
