    Not in 1 hour. But ive seen walleyes and other fish lose 10% after being in livewells 4-6 hours.

    That was a solid 8+lb fish when it was caught. They lose weight fast. Stress causes them to produce slime and lose water weight. I've seen big walleyes lose a pound in a few hours.

    Anywhere around the east half of sakakawea is loaded with geese. Drive around the lake and watch for flocks.

    Not usually an issue on Sakakawea since the smelt have deep Coldwater habitat throughout the lake, not just in front of the dam.

    Been a good year for rare bird sightings around sakakawea, osprey, snowy egrets, loons, and ibis are all firsts for me.
