    Walleye Replica

Its not so tough to find a bigger cast, its tough to find a big quality cast. one with good scale detail and clear thin fins, not thick white fiberglass ones with a crooked lumpy body seam down the middle.

    Walleye Replica

I just checked with a half dozen sources and the biggest nice quality cast I can get is 30 1/2 inches by an 18" girth.

    Walleye Replica

I just need an excuse to do a walleye replica. if you don't like it, you don't buy it. I'll be the first to admit I havn't seen one I've liked yet, but I'm pretty sure I know how to change & fix what I don't like about most walleye replicas.

yeah, unless its endangered or has a size limit on it, you can put it on a hook and use it for bait.

Kayak fishing around dolphins is a pain in the a** (video)

As for bait, we used several species of baitfish that were readily available after a few minutes of jiggin a sabiki rig. Blue runners, scad, sardine, pilchards, sand perch, flyers, bonito, ballyhoo, etc.

You better also bring a horseshoe, a rabbits foot, and a 4 leaf clover, damn things always shake the hook loose. I'd also recommend a 30-50 lb fluoro leader with a circle hook and a local live bait fish for your best chances. after you succeed with that, then try the lures and light tackle.

Kayak fishing around dolphins is a pain in the a** (video)

You'd never reel a dolphin in on any tackle, imagine a blue marlin with warm blood, a mammal's metabolism, and a greyhound's stamina. especially not from a kayak. we kept some mahi mahi to eat

Kayak fishing around dolphins is a pain in the a** (video)

Dolphins were a regular problem when trying to reel anything in, I don't know how but they never get hooked, and they aren't scared of anything. Also notice how much power a 3lb Spanish mackerel has as they burn the drag on my large heavyweight spinning combo with 30lb power pro...

Other than the flights, St. Thomas was cheap. stay on the non tourist trap side of the island and hotels, beach houses, etc are reasonable, so is the food & beverages, and prime diving & fishing can be done right from shore anywhere on the island. I'd recommend Red Hook.
