Check out Draathars too. Basically same dog as wirehair but with a little stricter breeding standards. Ive hunted behind both wires and draathars and they are really good dogs. If you have cats and like them..may not be for you then. Can be tough on them
witnessed something very cool but tough the other night. I was sitting in tree stand and by edge of corn/bean field. Heard a noise come out of corn to my left about 60 yds. It was a yote that jumped out of corn and came running down the edge toward me. I was planning on trying for a shot...
So 20 yrs ago while turkey hunting in the Missouri river bottoms near Chamberlain, SD I found a skull of a canine. I kept it and passed it off as a coyote. Well after getting into yote hunting yrs ago I realized there is no way this is a coyote. Comparing it to my yote skulls it looks just...
We really had a good hunt last Saturday and Sunday. Limited on mallards and honkers both days. They were fresh birds to area. Cant claim I know where they came from but my area (northeast SD) definitely got a fresh push from somewhere. Did see few flocks of lessers too.
yeah think you better clarify that statement.
I just read a link to what happened. Disturbing. The parents of Jacob signed off on plea deal which could get him out in 20. (which won't happen--they'll kill him in jail) They signed cuz they wanted to know what happened to Jacob and where his...
I was about 15 when this occurred. Scared me then and still scares me now. I have a boy his age. Never take for granted watching your kids. Always know where they are, who they are with and always have and eye and ear on them.
Bradford has more potential than any other prospect. He actually has talent but is just a bit inconsistent. But in his defense he played with one of the worst lines in nfl in the rams. He was on his back most of the time. Vikes now have solid line so maybe with time to operate he may produce...
I haven't had the best luck with my terrova either. This early summer my unit quit receiving signals from my remote and foot pedal at same time. I like to use foot pedal for directions and remote for speed, anchor etc. Well I could only use one or the other-not both. Took it in and the...
I found a steal. I have an '11 silverado with 78k on it. Hardly drive except for hunting and fishing. Came across a 04 Buick lesabre 3800 motor etc. Had salvage title due to bad hail damage. But...only 80k miles. Runs like a caddy but not real pretty. Paid 3k for it. New battery and tires came...
I'm not sure about ND but I have a couple friends that use them here in SD. They are pretty neat. I know they have killed deer at over 500 yds a couple times. I think one got one at little over 600. However, you can hit big game that far but can you ethically kill them? Often times deer are hit...
Out fishing yesterday my remote working properly. Won't shut blade off, speed up and down won't work or rabbit, anchor etc. Only thing that does is directions. Tried new battery. I've had for about 3 summers so I suppose I'm screwed. Any thoughts?
Ive guided on and off here in northeast SD. I'm thinking DL is similar to my area. The problem with the dream that we've all had...is that it's not just fishing everyday. You make decent money guiding each day but big money is in rentals. You would need to build some cabins and probably a...
I was guiding one time and a young kid broke my loomis pulling on a snag. That was maybe...6 yrs ago?? I contacted company and sent rod and $50. They replaced it.
