    absolute minimum money to get you through a month

    Adding in $300 a month for fun stuff I could get by on $1800 a month. Would I like more absolutely but that would get me by with a little extra.

    Do you prefer to hunt alone?

    I enjoy hunting with a buddy once in a while but hunting alone is my favorite. I can do as I like with no one bitching about how fast or slow I'm going or whether or not I'm taking or not taking breaks. Sometimes I just want to sit and enjoy being out in the middle of nowhere.

    As fj40 said when hanging on a wall either vertically or horizontally the stars are to be in the upper left. I'm happy to see them having the flag up too but it would have been just as easy to hang it properly. I hope you thank them for hanging the flag and then ask them to hang it correctly.

    I laughed a lot reading this, between the screw ups with the loaded gun and dog and how the "writer" worded this it had me laughing. So the moral of the story is always unload your gun when it's out of your hands and control.

    Snow Camo

    I just use cheap white coveralls or an old white drop cloth and try not to move much. Sometimes I'll buy a drop cloth and some Rit dye in green, brown and black and just streak the cloth in random patterns with the dye. It works great and is dirt cheap too.

    What gun safe should I buy?

    I have 3 safes, a 1899 Mosler, a Browning Mediallion and a Winchester. Remember to buy one with a lot more space than you think you need and also you get what you pay for. Also check with your insurance company about coverage, a better safe may save you money in premiums.
