    Pete's if in Devil's Lake. Lucky's in Baudette though I haven't been there in quite a while so it might be closed for all I know. Used to love Blue Water in Bemidji, alas, it's gone. Delaney's and Smokey Hills in Park Rapids. Scheels and Fleet Farm in Fargo.

    I like 7' rods. Med action up to ~1oz bouncers, Med-Hvy after that. I upsize the reels on the heavy bouncer rods as well under the assumption that the heavier bouncers are going to mean deeper fishing thus more line out. 2500/3000 series Shimano spinning reels or 250 sized Calcutta...

    Lay off the weed and you'll have more ambition than to drive around/parking in such a manner as both you and everyone else thinks you're lost.

    Something like that box looks reasonable. Get yourself some large fender washers for the bottom side of the board under the press anchor bolts to spread out the torque. Stacking several sizes of fender washers together isn't a bad plan either.

    Grew up with 3 public ranges within 30min of driving. Been in Fargo for 15yrs now and I can absolutely see the appeal of a private place to shoot. The ONLY time to go to Casselton is if you can get there before the sun is up and be gone before the idjuts start to wake up.

    I'm not chatty @ the ramp or the cleaning station. I'm trying my best to "get in and get out" so the next guy can do the same. Other than that I'm generally happy to give general info about depth, speed, structure, lure preference, etc.
