    Anybody seen any of the doodle breeds that hunt well? A few friends have gone for that compromise, they don't seem to be much for hunt drive, but they are the kind of guys that bird hunt 3-4 days a year so the dog doesn't get much exposure.

    Correct me if wrong, but would restrictions need to go through the legislature? Not sure how that all works as GNF changes the number of deer licenses every year but not sure they can do that for waterfowl? Seems it's been quite a while since any restrictive bills for NRs have been proposed...

    They gave out 500 less tags (2700 vs. 2200) this year so applications were basically unchanged, maybe even a few less. There were 185 leftover after the lottery last year and about 300 people got denied this year.

    Left a spinner/crawler rig just barely dangling in the water while sitting at the dock and a bass came up and grabbed it and took the rod. Buddy had his drotto come unhooked while backing down and dumped his boat on the ramp.
