    I believe the problem is related to moisture. Dry early and then too much moisture. Which is highly possible this year.

    You can straighten out the corn if the ground is still wet. Pull the corn straight and use your foot to push the roots into the ground. It works. I have done it many times.

    Popped my cherry last night

    I had a hook embedded between my thumb and finger. I didn't give it much of a chance to hurt. I pushed it through and had my buddy cut it off in just a minute or two. No pain at all. Went right back to fishing. The more you think about it, the worse it hurts.

    Despite the cool June both vegetable and flower gardens are doing quite well. The recent rains will help along with some heat. My garlic that I planted on December 21st is doing quite well!

    I live down by Briardale. The canker worms were crazy. We paid for aerial spraying. Seems to be working. Dead ones every where. They get constipated and die.

    Smoke in the air.

    I am sick of as well. Being outside 3 plus hours a day, the smoke agitates my asthma.
