How fast does your boat go?

Having the fastest walleye boat is like having the fastest Harley. Stick a shit ton of money into something that wasn't meant for speed only to have somebody pull up next to you in a 15 year old bassboat/sportbike that cost 1/5th as much and blow your doors off.

    30000cfs ???

So the lake has risen more than 15' 4 times. In two of those years it started out pretty low meaning it took less water volume per foot and the corp new they had plenty of space so they likely didn't increase outflow accordingly. That brings us to 1997 and 2011, both large water years and yet...

    30000cfs ???

As Allen said above, you can't manage a system based on an extreme event that might happen once in a hundred years. They could have had 30' of space that year and we still would have flooded. We will never contain mother nature. I would consider one flood in 65 years to be pretty good "flood...

This kid is THE MAN!!! Almost catched the ND state record bass on video!

Nice!! Good work on the catch...and release. Not many would have released that fish, not sure i even would have. I have a 6.5 lbs from about 10 years ago out there, the only bass I've ever kept from Nelson.

    30000cfs ???

They kind of have to wait until the ice is gone before they can up the flows much. The river south of Bismarck has only been open for two weeks or so and there is still a fairly large sheet of ice as of yesterday from about cattail down across the border.

KVD + Devils Lake = Deadly Combination

Ive caught several walleye on top water while fishing for bass. One was a 26.5" on an original Zara Spook. I have never attempted walleye on the fly-rod cause to be honest it just doesn't sound that fun.

    Cheap fishin

I had some fresh Sakakwea salmon for the first time this year and they were great. After everything i had heard i was really surprised how good they were. Amazing smoked as well. I do need to try trout again and have been tempted to order it a few times out west.
