    Agreed, you don't have to go crazy. You can get a good dog for under a grand. But I don't think the 250 back yard dog is always a great idea either. The back yard breeders are why there are so many health problems in every breed.

    One could also say its near average levels. If you took out the huge years of 1997 & 2011 we probably are about average. Fingers crossed for a large La Nina winter in the mountains next year though.

    The original natives called it the muddy river. And after a big rain it still can be. I think all of the dams keep it clearer than it was before development. its still muddier as you go farther south. Google Earth the confluence with the Mississippi, the Mo is noticeably more muddy.
