Wentz is definately the best QB pick since Matt Stafford. I would take him over Goff any day.
Andrew Luck, Cam Newton  Look i'm rooting for the kid, but take off your Bison Glasses. Wentz is a poor mans Luck, who was considered the best prospect since Peyton.

That is an overly bold statement. Stafford in 2009 so from 2010 on (notables): Kaepernick, Dalton, Newton, Wilson, Luck, Osweiler, Carr, Bridgewater, Winston and Mariota. All have been starting QB's with at least some success and one SB ring (two if you count Osweiler, I maintain he could have won that game just as easily as Peyton did), and 4/5 SB appearances.

Wentz is what he is but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I think Philly knows that the Rams are going with Goff and they plan to land Wentz at #2. I thought there was an article floating around on FB where someone from the Eagles' organization or a sports writer for the Eagles already arrived in Bismarck on Tuesday. That says something about their internal communication leaks.

Haha, so let me get this straight. You think Wentz is a better prospect coming out of college that Andrew Luck? Luck was considered a cant miss prospect along the lines of Manning, Elway, Marino. Absolutely know body is saying that about Wentz or Goff. Most would argue what the Rams and Eagles did are two of the riskiest(dumbest) trade-ups of all time. Both Wentz & Goff are 50/50 chance of being decent long time starters.

NFL teams can save a ton of money on evaluating potential players. All they have to do is read hunting and fishing websites. Some of you missed your calling as scouts.

im on the wentz band wagon, dont get me wrong, but to give up all that they did to trade up to get him in the draft?... not the best choice in my opinion (i hope im wrong) he has not proven himself by any stretch of the imagination, he's played something like 23 games against defenses that arent nearly the caliber the other qbs in more prominent schools have been facing, but the scouts know what they are looking for, they are looking for a profile, is he smart? yes is he the right height and weight? yes is the arm strength and footwork there? yes is there potential for him to be a hall of fame qb? yes but there was potential for Sam Bradford to be a hall of fame qb, he very easily could be a bust and thats a lot to give up for a guy that hasnt proven himself as of yet in my eyes, i hope he comes out of the shoots with 30 tds 5 int and a zillion yards to be honest with you, but im not going to bet the farm on him just yet... we will see what the first couple years in the pros do for him and then have a conversation on whether it was a good move in the 2016 draft until that time nobody will know whether this was worth all of this hype and trading or not..

He wasn't kidding ....he was right. Doesn't mean he can't be a great QB but he definitely has less chance then a number of the guys drafted before him.

You have to have "The Man" to build your team around. You can win without the man but much easier with a very good QB... A good QB can make the WR, TE, and RB look good.

How could some of you not be watching the draft tonight? This is going to be the biggest sports story to ever come out of North Dakota. I can't wait to see Wentz staring this fall for the Eagles!

Big sports event?? Its the draft for Gods sake. What's gonna happen is gonna happen. I'd say Virgil Hill having title fights in Bismarck a l LOT bigger event than the draft. Hell, I would like to see him take a phone call from his boat catching fish. Why do these guys gotta be there, oh that's right they don't.

Annnnnnnnd its over. Wasn't that exciting, it happened just like they said it would.

And let's not forget the international curling championship a few years back! Now that was some Norwegian nail biting fun right there!

I was most happy to see the reaction in Philadelphia when Geoff was drafted. Looks like Carson will have at least a few fans in his corner to start with there and thank god its not Cleveland!

Roger Maris was fairly well known and kinda good. Seems like 55yrs later there's still a mention of him now and again inside and outside of ND.
