    As mentioned in an earlier post..I also grind a good number of my birds. I send bacon pieces thru the grinder at the same time. Mix in nicely. Patty and freeze for when you want to put them on the bar-b. The moisture(and flavor) of the bacon make it one tasty pheasant burger!!:;:thumbsup

    Yes, Holes are predrilled by volunteers the morning of the tourney. They have a free breakfast the morning of the tourney at the KC Halll for all that want to help. Then everyone heads to the tourney site and tourney chairmen hand out 15 augers to groups of 4-5 and out on the ice they go...

    There are many sponsors set up just as you go on ice. Yeah..its kinda a good old fashioned ice fishing derby started 30 years ago. Somewhat evens the playing field for Beginner Joe or Josephine to try their luck.

    What works best for me is to just get those glove and boot warmers that activate when you shake them. Simple Simon and they work great for up to 8 hours. Buy them off season rather than during hunting/ice fishing season at the local C-store to save you some bucks. I just put one in each glove...
