14 satellite bulls in the last ten years. Never not once a cow. They don't travel from the herd.

In my very first post on this thread I mentioned have one spike and two 2 year olds around. The spike hung out in a different drainage from the other two. He didn't much care to be around two bigger guys full rut. Haven't see him for a while but now that the two bigger bulls are gone, there he...

    Federal CWD Spending

I have not seen the final draft but there is going to be a Bill to allow baiting of deer on private property. A core group started awhile back and is growing. Senators and Representatives were present. Their second meeting will be held Friday October 28th in Minot. It takes a grassroots...

Hunted hard Saturday walking everything. The only thing we didn't cover was 160 acres of corn. This morning he came out.

The smaller of the two bulls was taken. The fellow had been hunting out west but recently broke his leg. (Bad) Had an air cast and rods. Took the shot at dusk from a wheelchair. He isn't in this picture because he was laying in the pickup. The guy operating the sawzall is his son, the other two...

It's on. My neighbor just called, 8:28 pm. A couple of them on the road. By day they are hanging out in some very deep creeks full of trees. The fellow who owns the property is cool and has let many a sportsman in to get after them.

No fresh track today. Hmm Sometimes they move on. Two years ago a bull was taken here with a tracking collar. The year before, according to the data, he visited for two days and then split without seeing him.

Have two contacts. We are waiting. The bulls come out at night and walk on a gravel road leaving tracks. They have not done that the last couple days. Doesn't mean they have left but, It's raining today. If there is fresh track in the morning, I will have something more concrete. Hate to...

Thank you, sir. Two years ago I had responses right away. Last year no bulls came here. EHD was making them sick and they probably didn't feel traveling.

Satellite bulls get driven off by larger older bulls and then go looking for a harem of their own. I thought it is a little early this year for so many to show. During the day they are holed up in some of my neighbor's deep creeks. No problem, I can take anyone down in there. If someone...

Elk season opened in E5 on Sept. 2, 2022. Have one spike and two 2 year olds hanging around the farm. The 2's have small antlers. Probably 250 SCI. All three are very healthy looking. If you have a tag or know someone who does, shoot me a pm.

Unit 3A3 is now "no hunting over bait"

Update: Kentucky Windage is on to something. When there is federal legislation such as The CWD Research and Management Act for $70 million, A formality is public hearings/forums in the States before a federal vote. It will be noted these meetings were held and there was no opposition.

Racoons can find twenty sweet corn plants in the middle of 160 acres.

Unit 3A3 is now "no hunting over bait"

No. However, using their surrogate non-profits they can ask the Legislature for a Bill to ban baiting. They tried that in 2011 (I believe). It failed miserably. Looking through the Game and Fish section of the ND Century Code, I cannot find any law banning baiting. North Dakota Century Code...
