    I used to be big into aquaria... which meant collecting freshwater daphnia and associated “plankton” to feed fry. I know the smell well... and I got a hint every bite of that paddlefish Oily... planktonesque flavor is not my cup o tea... not even a slight degree. I’ll eat damn near anything...

    I love dabblers. LOVE. Spoonies and other plankton feeders - not so much. - - - Updated - - - Plankton eating ducks are icky IMO. Duck (mallards, gads, etc) is also a favorite of mine... both wild and tame. I bet flamingo blows.

    How does one tell which are tart vs sweet prior to picking? They're all dark as night. Haskaps are the biggest PITA berry there is as far as picking/cleaning/prepping in my opinion. But they're way worth it.

    it was pretasting zippy (vinegar), so we added 1/4 cup more sugar just prior to jarring it’s flavor packed! old school “rank meat” flavorizer so yes, all strong meats benefit classic venison, pork/ham, maybe honker breast I love all this old world stuff - I think older folks like strong...
