    I recall reading somewhere that it's a fish that is highly efficient at converting vegetable feed to poundage (cheap to easy to grow and doesn't require meat-based food to raise them quickly) They often encourage poor folk/countries to raise it because of this and yes - that meme is full of crap

    ha ha - whatever - it's not like I'm singing its praises or saying it's better - I'm saying it works for me for simple bassing and I grew up with it kinda like shooting a recurve or some such - super inferior technically speaking but works and has a certain vibe/feel that I appreciate

    Yeah - I still prefer mono for baitcasting - it doesn't dig in upon hookset like the braids/superlines.

    one would think the improvement from 24 to 36v would be a 50% improvement while the 12 to 24v jump would be a 100% improvement not?
