    Ice augers

I have three batteries and a charger in the truck too but when the truck is 4 miles away and the ice is rough I'm not feeling like running back there with the snowmobile to charge batteries I keep the batteries in a cooler but the "battery shuffle" gets old at lowish temps, deep ice, with lots...

in the old days dangerous people were institutionalized yep - that sure sucked for a lot of them and it was horribly unfair to most but when you don't you're going to have the 1:100000 that goes bananas and kills people if we don't institutionalize dangerous people and try to med our way out...

    Ice augers

if you slide the foam float down you'll see the collar that supposedly fits the SM head. I haven't tried it yet. I'm still considering a Kwik Konnect of some sort to make it fast/easy. Going to borrow one from a friend here in town. When he uses it his Digger Carrier clamp no longer fits - so...

    Ice augers

my problem is getting lucky and hitting little dribbles of sand/gravel left behind that fell off rigs - as March approaches you'll see deposits left by vehicles all over the place. You don't see them during the earlier season. One hole - hell one inch - is all it takes to render the SM shavers...

    Ice augers

derp - - - Updated - - - I hope you are being obtuse on purpose but if'n yer not there's a reason augers (earth and ice) have handles where they do - equidistant to the rotation with at least a foot of lever arm. And NOT one pistol grip and a motorcycle style handlebar at varying distances...

wildeyes - any chance you were actually chasing water temps/conditions that were “traveling” upstream? kind of like morels - they don’t migrate but certainly appear to with the cold water being released on the Missouri below the dam it is unlike the natural systems that generally all warm up...
