    Synthetic Motor Oils

One of the guys that rides sled out west with us uses kllotz in his Turbo sleds. Apparently that's what BDX uses in there mod sleds and I know he's a firm believer in it. That's not to say he hasn't had some engine melt downs and so forth but pretty sure that has more to do with air fuel ratios...

    Synthetic Motor Oils

Yeh, about 50 years ago this was the case with wax/paraphin/sludge build up, but times have changed. Hate to burst your bubble but penzoil platinum to considered one of the better synthetics on the market. My go to oils are penzoil platinum in the wife’s enclave. Merc synth. DFI in the opti...

    Six hundo

Very few outboards have much in common with there car engine counter parts, there are a few exceptions but not many. The reason why is simply due to duty cycle. Outboards see what would be considered extreme duty in the automotive world. Mercury's durability testing use to require a 500 hour run...

    Six hundo

First I've seen or heard of a 6 hundo and I keep pretty close eye on stuff likes this, always intriguing how and what their doing to squeeze more out of these. Scoured the web and couldn't find a picture or anything on a 600? where this come from short? it's not April fools day yet, lol.

    Lockers

I feel like your other Dakota must've had something else going for it other than a rear locker that made it a better off-roader. Tires, wheel base, weight, or something else. I have a E-locker in my current truck and to be honest, I have yet, in 75k miles, to find a time where locking up the...

    Freezing sewer vent pipes

I might have to try a longer T. The one I made should extend below the Attic and about 2’ into the main section of the house however it is on an external wall. The only thing different than previous years, my daughter moved down to the basement so that bathroom is getting used a lot more...

    Freezing sewer vent pipes

My house is on a septic system and I’ve been up on the roof three days in a row! First day I just cleared the snow/ice off of it. Woke up the next morning to sewer smell. Went to menards for some copper parts. Dumped hot water in and put the copper T in. Woke up this morning to the same thing...

What do you put in your winter survival kit?

I used to have a tote full of goods in each car/truck during the winter months. Everything from blankets, extra hat gloves, candles, matches, granola bars, flash light, yada, yada ya. This was in the days when I lived 35 miles from town. Now that we’re only a handful of miles from town, I...

    Things my dog ate

Anything within a nosed reach on the counter or kitchen island. Last week it was my hamburger, I turned around to grab ketschup out of fridge and came back to any empty piece of bread. 2 days later, an entire stick of butter! He got to wear his good boy collar on friday with some left overs...

    It is official

I'm on the same page; I started watching what I eat, how much, and trying to exercise 4-5 days a week basically one year ago. I cut 30+ lbs and just felt better all around. back down to my college weight. Went from 185lbs to 150+-. Actually wasn't embarrassed to take my shirt off at the lake...

    E-Collar GPS with Beeper?

Yeh, a delayed response on the training side wouldn't be any good. Hadn't heard that one before but maybe should be something I look into. kind of surprised in todays technological world that one of the companies hasn't integrated all of the these features into a single unit. I spoke with a few...

    E-Collar GPS with Beeper?

Starting to consider a new E-collar. I have been running a Dogtra 2000 T&B for the last 13 years and have been extremely pleased with it. It's been super durable and reliable. I'm on my second set of batteries and don't plan to send it in for a third set, the entire unit has seen it's better...

    Vintage snowmobiles

Certainly admire those that keep and restore those old vintage sleds. There's a lot of history that finally boiled down to the 4 manufactures we have today. I've contemplated it myself several times but every time I think I should restore one, I remember just how terrible they actually rode and...

    Pheasant Survey Down 61%

Exactly what I was saying last night after witnessing the true lack of birds. I figured they'd be down but it's down right non-existent at least in the two areas that I hunted.

    Pheasant opener 2017

Looks like it's going to be pretty spotty. Opening day myself and friend shot 1 bird between the two of us in 3-4 hours of solid walking. I had one 50+ yard shot at a rooster that blew off the top of a hill, seen two others way out in the distance and only kicked up a hand full of hens. Buddy...

    Boat tarp repair

I had Custom Canvas build a complete tarp a for me a hand full of years ago, he did a great job. Neighbors at the lake were pretty impressed and a friend had one made by him a year later for a ski boat and that one was really nice also. I would imagine he'd do a good job on a repair also.

    Boat stereos

I'm with JohnR on this one, you guys gotta lighten up a bit. Bunch of grumpy old fisherman that think they own the lake, come on guys everyone was a kid at one time! If you think back far enough you might be able to see a small glimmer of you youth. There can be fun had by everyone on the lake...
