    Correct me if I am wrong but there is not a "gratis" tag for moose and elk but rather some preference is given to land owners. In other words, land owners are in the same lottery as everyone else but have a higher percentage of drawing than a city dweller.

    Do you want it to add warmth and keep you dry or just keep you dry? I prefer a rain suit that doesn't add warmth, I can control that with my other clothes and don't want to roast when it's 80 degrees but raining.

    Using leaders for cranks?

    I use leaders pitching cranks in waters with pike whether I am fishing walleye, bass, pike or whatever. I make my own now but are modeled after the 8 inch, 18 lb invisi leader made by South Bend. I truly believe the leader doesn't prevent any fish from biting.

    Go with Walmart, cheaper and there really is no guarantee how long they will last no matter the brand. The Walmart employee told me when the truck stops there to drop off batteries that he sees the green ones (Interstate) ones up front. In other words, both made by the same place.
