What was your 1st boat, ever?

1978 Lund s-16 with a 35hp Johnson. Pull start was fine until the recoil spring broke. Then it was a pita. Caught a ton of fish out of that boat.

    Knots...Braided to Mono

I find the Alberto stronger than the double uni. Reason being when using lighter test (8-10) braid the braid will cut through the mono under stress fairly easy. Easier to tie, goes through guides better, and stronger. Just my preference.

    Looking for a new rod

I’ve got a couple of those as well. Trust me, give that elite-x a go. You will NOT be disappointed. NMB812XF

    Looking for a new rod

I have yet to be disappointed in an MHX blank. The elite-X is outstanding. It makes my St Croix SC IV tournament feel heavy.

    trolling motor speeds

You could see similar if you have a seal out and your brushes are starting to fail. If line ever got wrapped around the prop and the rubber seal is shot it the first symptom is reduced power. Check batteries as suggested first tho.

    Help with plastics for walleyes....

I find that the cadence is important and can change as the day goes on. Water temp plays a role in what they want in general. Sometimes an aggressive pop and fall but sometimes just a lift and fall in more of a swimming action. Sometimes a straight retrieve with a few rod pumps. I’ve been...

    Any Birders here?

I wonder if it isn’t because the bugs really haven’t come out yet and they don’t have many other food sources right now

    Any Birders here?

I saw orioles and rose breasted grosbeak yesterday. Lots of white crowned, white throated, Harris, and Lincoln’s sparrows right now too.

I wish someone would delete this entire post so that no existing or aspiring politician reads it and gets any ideas about how to raise more tax revenue.

    Sakakawea Outlook 2022?

Was at Ziegler’s and west Douglas bay ramp yesterday. No docks yet at those. The west Douglas ramp has a fair amount of snow and lots of mud.

    Water levels?

I will refrain from commenting on what I read on the corps site. I will ignore the water level marker I put at the waters edge 3 weeks ago as well that is now in 10” of water . I will leave comments to the experts.

    Water levels?

Inflows are outpacing outflows and it is on the rise. Went up .7 yesterday and current is over 1828. It should see nice increases the next several days at least unless they ramp up outflows. keeping fingers crossed for nice gains.
