    Best O/U for the money

    Different strokes for different folks I guess. I've hunted with a few O/Us on everything from quail in Texas to phez in Nodak. Just not my bag. But you are correct -- fit is everything. My Benelli M2 fits like an extension of my arm. Plus it's light and hardly kicks. God I love that gun.

    I'm going to do what I've witnessed the past three seasons now: Camp out in the local deer hole with my bow on rifle opener day, shoot a buck at first light, let it lay for about four hours, and then march around at noon making a racket because F everyone else and their daggum tags!!! :::

    I've never understood the appeal of an o/u. My theory is, the pheasant limit is three. Your standard autoloader with a plug holds three. Can't be a coincidence, can it??

    Blue Box Federals and Patternmaster choke. Have we just become best friends??? I'm sworn off buying any more shotgun shells until I finish up my hoard. Every year I buy another few boxes, and by the end of every season I still have a few boxes left. I either need to miss more or hunt more...

    Just saw the word that our own arrowdem (Allan Sitzer) has passed away. I don't know the details but he was a young man and hunting fool taken way before his time. RIP sir. Heart goes out to all his family. :(

    My hunch is that G&F is taking longer to scrutinize legitimate gratis tags. When tags were dime a dozen they probably didn't worry too much about it. Now with deer tags worth more than North Dakota crude, well, I guess I'm alright with them taking their time.

    I was being 100 percent sarcastic. Clearly, that boat hit the rocks. Prop and skeg are all messed up. Probably got too close, hit the rocks, and poof. I give myself a very healthy berth whenever fishing close to dams. No fish is worth that.

    Look on Craiglist and buy it all gently used. Guys are purging their entire ice fishing arsenal all the time. You can get some great gear for peanuts.
