    MN Twins

Forgot about that. How'd they do in the Super Bowl?

    eating devils pike...

I tried the 5-piece method this winter just to see. What a monumental waste of time and fish flesh. Don't even bother.

Minnesota still has a baseball team? I thought they moved to Los Angeles... No wait...the Vikings were threatening to do that. Right? I get so confused. So many crappy Minnesota teams across so many athletic disciplines, it's tough to keep them straight!

    Getting the "SNIP"

Just tell the doc you're a jigglalo and this will allow you to charge more. Little added incentive for the ladies.

    Getting the "SNIP"

I think I found the recipe for bitchfesting on NDA: Nut-snip talk + crappy fishing weather + election year = shit flinging galore I'll remember this again in four years.

    eating devils pike...

I think the 5-fillet method is overly complicated. The way grandpappy taught me was to fillet it just like a walleye: down the back, OVER the ribs, not through, and then down the belly and out the tail. The only bones left are the Y bones. You can fell them running laterally starting from the...

    Deer Bonus Points..Who's Got What???

    2 for rifle. That's it.

    eating devils pike...

I find pike even in warm water is pretty tasty. I usually soak my pike fillets in fresh water in the fridge at least over night. That really firms them up. Then pat dry, bread and fry like any other freshwater fish. They go in yeller but come out white as Michael Jackson's cheekbones. Mmm-mmm...

    MN Opener

That sounds like a recipe for lockjaw to me...

    MN Opener

Agreed. Weather his tittysprinkles. However, when isn't opener weather less than stellar? You either are going to go because it's opener, regardless of the conditions, or you'll wait. Personally, I'd prefer waiting for a nice weekend than dealing with cold, rain and bustling boat ramps. If...

    MN Opener

I honestly have no clue. If I do go, it will be a quick afternoon jaunt with my father in law and 2.5-year-old son. I'll be avoiding the big lakes like the plague. Would be fun to find a little walleye lake without a boat landing crowded with one-and-done fishermen, but we'll probably try to...

    Shore fishing the Red River

That's what I tell my wife! But she's a worry wort. I'm not going to push it, especially at 8 months pregnant and over mother's day weekend. There's plenty of time to fish yet this year.

    Shore fishing the Red River

My son wants to catch a catfish in the worst way, which is funny because I'm pretty sure he has no idea what they are. But he keeps telling me he wants to catch catfish, so we may need to make that happen. His mama is deathly afraid of him fishing by the river, however, so I'm not sure if...

    Fishing Alone?

I find fishing alone, and hunting alone for that matter, to be some of the most intimate and rewarding experiences. It is just you, or you and the dogs, against nature. If you succeed, it's your success. If you fail, it's your failure -- but hopefully with knowledge gained on what to do next...

Last year's deer tag break down

My dad is a MN resident, but he's applying this year as an NR in ND. My hunting party is officially gone, so 2016 will be my first deer opener solo. I know his chances are basically zero of pulling a tag, and he knows that. But we still have plan to hit opener together, even if he's just there...

    Anybody play with these ?

Knowing the folks on this board, and reading the title of the thread, I was sure it was going to be about women's jiggly bits.

Who has tackled their electrical mess?

2400, you are a gentleman and a scholar and I'm pretty sure I now owe you some Blue Numnums. I do have an ohm meter, now that you mention it. Owned by the same grandpa that gave me the boat. And old thing with a needle (not digital) but it still functions. I was attempting to use it, however I...

Who has tackled their electrical mess?

An Eagle something or other from the 90s.

Who has tackled their electrical mess?

Can you expand on this? I guess I'm not sure what you're talking about. My depth finder is ancient. I'm not sure it has fuel flow capabilities.

Who has tackled their electrical mess?

Clarification: You don't have to spoon with me under the console. You can perch yourself on a chair and snag brewskis out of the cooler for yourself and I, dish out thoughtful advice, tell me what I'm doing wrong, or just provide emotional support. Or, tell me I'm an idiot and should have...
