    Butterfly Your Bluegill

    Scale'em, cut the head and pec fins off, gut'em, pull the dorsal fin, and deep fry the rest. Ate LOTS of panfish that way with my grandparents and loved every one of them. Nothing wrong with a wire basket full of 8-9 inch bluegills and a pan full of fried potatoes. Now I'm hungry.

    Seasonal change-

    There are always a few trees that don't do well in the summer heat and dry that start to go a bit yellow. I have a couple in a tree row that look downright sad right now.

    Hell, every time I go duck hunting the whole sky is FILLED with UFO's. They are flying and I don't have the faintest clue what their identity is. Seems to happen more and more with people too. I see'em.....but I can't identify'em. Oh well, time to have a drink and not think about it. (Grin)

    Fluoro or Mono Leader?

    I like the abrasion resistance of floro over straight tying to pp. The rocks where I fish chaff and nick the pp making it a fuzzy mess, especially the knot. IMO, floro is much more resistant to that and so I think I have to retie much less. It could be just an aesthetic thing and a fuzzy knot...
