    Shooting feral cats (legal?)

Some of my relatives have farms on the Spirit Lake res. Don't get caught on foot out checking the cows Dogs running on the res will eat your ass. An acquaintance brought a predator hunting magazine back from Australia. Front cover was an electronic call, a rifle, and a half dozen cats...

    Shooting feral cats (legal?)

I don't think they have their own data, but would guess it's available in one of the periodicals in their library. Often research is done by grad students and funded jointly through a university. I think I read the data about Michigan in the Journal of Wildlife Management.

    Shooting feral cats (legal?)

Ditto. I love dogs, but don't have one because I don't want to be tied down. I don't want a yippy foot stool, and I don't want a 50lb dog in my camper, and I don't want to pay to leave them in a kennel. Cats? I have to agree with MSA. Studies have been done in England and here at home in...

    Browning Hells Canyon LRH

I forget the model, but this week I was looking at the Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor in the T3XTAC A1. I may have drooled on the stock. http://www.tikka.fi/en-us/rifles/tikka-t3x/t3x-tac-a1

    Rifle Stock Modification Ideas?

Years ago they made an epoxy for bow grips. It was a thick epoxy that you mixed, then when it was the consistency of modelers clay you would wrap it around your bow handle and squeeze it to fit your hand. Then you simply set it aside to harden. Don't know who made it or if they still do make...

    Rifle Stock Modification Ideas?

You have a very nice stock. Don't screw it up. Trade someone for something you like. There should be people willing to buy a new less expensive stock that you like and trade you straight up. If my Bell and Carlson Medalist was for a Remington and not a Savage I would trade you in a...

    Wild asparagus

Mostly it's been spread by bird crap so look in shelterbelts. One row belts are good because they get more sun. I dig up roots and replant in my belt near the house.

    what to say...

No kidding. The first time I heard about rainbows was squirrel hunting. Guys who shoot the old muzzleloaders often named each others rifles. One day my buddy went five for five on head shots with his 50cal. The sun was low and every time he vaporized a squirrel head there was a nice little...

Caught my first fish using a baitcaster

The new baitcast are nice. I grew up with a steel rod and an old baitcast with no settings at all. You had to use your thumb for control to keep from a big ball backlash. Of course there was no such thing as monofilament either. I had 40lb nylon on that old rig. Caught many a pike off the...

    Hrc 3019?

Lets say those pre 64's were worth $800 and the gov paid $1600 for them. Years have gone by and now those pre 64's are worth $2500. If grandpa gets first crack what should he pay for those rifles?

    Hrc 3019?

Personal communication. That's the way the gov always works. Check Church's Ferry when it flooded. I know two houses that would not sell for $10 in that small town. When they flooded FEMA gave them $50K. Long before they ever use eminent domain the try purchase at exorbitant prices. They...

    Hrc 3019?

I have a friend that sold a couple of sections of the land we talk about. Not that great, but his dad had enough money to buy six sections of land near Woodworth. They were paid two to three times what the land was worth, now they want it back. Have you ever heard the term Indian Giver? It...

Looking for an Anvil or railroad tie

I bought a chunk of rail tie already shaped at Mac's just the other day (20 years ago). You have to watch us old geezers when we say just the other day. :)

First 90 Kangaroos Released In Wyoming

You would not believe the things like this that people take serious. Back in the 1980's we live trapped near waterfowl nests. As you would expect nest predators included skunks, fox, badger, etc, but it turned out a very important egg predator was the Franklin Ground Squirrel. Carrying one in...

Kind of what I was thinking. A Vortex shirt doesn't make you a real ballistic or optics expert.
