Me also. Then I got a dog and birds were a high priority. I still hunted deer but started just filling tags instead of passing on them and hunting for a bigger buck. Now, I'm getting to lazy to even bird hunt.
I think he'd really like to see them do it. He knows they won't so he said it kind of toung and cheek, but my take is he really wants GFP to shut down or postpone deer season. He said it over and over.
While driving home from work, I was listening to KFYR. THE president of the NDFB is always on there and he said the GFP should SHUT DOWN DEER SEASON!! (or postpone) because of the roads.
Are they that bad, or is he just a POS?

I know up here in Yates we always jig deep off the main channel break too. No matter the elevation they hang in and around those deep channel bends in this area. Same with the Grand and Oahe. Now I've had a few years where we were in say 17-25 fow but I've never went real shallow.
Where we usually catch them in the fall is a deep jig bite. I didn't talk with my brother about how deep he was but I know where they were and they usually fish a pretty deep drop at that spot. 25-35 ft deep.
And the other guy I talked to was jigging deep too.
Not only the big mammas are biting. I was in town Saturday and the guy who told me about the big fish weighing story had been out and was already limited on 16-19 inchers and said they were fat.
My brother limited on Saturday also and said they also caught 30 BIG silver bass. Said they were...
I heard some weird stories about this fish. What I heard was he took it to Pollock to weigh it and couldn't get it weighed there, so he had it in Biz for 2 days and then brought it back to SD to officially weigh it.
