Is it only me but from gulp to these new minnys --- i am just going to reach in the bait bucket for the real thing.

Granted i have used the sonar minnows and caught bass and i always used gulp when i ran out of live bait.

Sonar minnows on the lakes i fish with weeds the way they are meh

PS i will sucker for a lab series - you bet

Signed, Short

Minnows in the spring, crawlers in the summer, then back to minnows. Fake is not in my lineup

Gulp has been a lifesaver on some of the local lakes where the small perch clip every live bait I use. Is there any word on the price?

I've gone to plastics mostly - even ice fishing - for this very reason. Like anything, you need to stick with it to build confidence. My hands stay clean and dry, and I have nothing to keep alive or take care of. Of course, I do have Livescope so I'm just cheatin' anyway - could probably just use a bare hook with NO bait!

I haven't used plastics enough. This summer will be the summer of plastics til i figure it out and get that confidence goin.
Honestly, that's what it took for me. I just told myself to believe in the process, commit to the process, and you'll figure it out.

You should give them a try. They work pretty darn well in the right situation. Last two times out on the Missouri, we caught a 3-man limit in a reasonable time tossing plastics. We had minnows with, but the plastics were far more productive. Paddle tails were the ticket one day, the next it was the artificial minnow style. In the summer, the crawler varieties are excellent on spinners.

It's just another tool in the arsenal. And they never die!
