I'm also curious, planning on heading up there Saturday. How's the access at the Sanish marina? Has got to be getting pretty shallow in there.
Im guessing you mean new town marina. It’s good. Just have to stay in the creek channel. It’s at least 8’ throughout that channel.

Does one have to go way west? Any chance of decent fishing on east end? If so, which ramps are good on east end?

If anyone has advice for fishing Sakakawea’s east end this week plz let me know. I am tasked with taking my Mom and two bros fishing.

Also, they’re all > 64yo, so some prayers wouldn’t hurt either. 😁

I'm the youngest and the only one who owns a boat and fishes on the regular. I'm therefore "the guide" for the group and supply everything but the bait. I would not normally ask for advise - but Sakakawea is well outside my wheelhouse - especially this late in the season.

Fished with the old man on Saturday south of New Town. Fished from 9:30 to 12:30. Weather was beautiful. Fished from 8-15 FOW. Kept our 10 from 18-22 inches. Also lost a few at the boat. Lindys with a minnow was all it took. Faster was better. I wanted to Jig Rap but decided I will save a sore arm for another day. Also had 2 muley bucks come and take a drink at the shore about 50 yards from the boat. A little forker and an average 4x4.
