Zebra Mussels Discovered in Twin Lakes

Shootin Blanks, some species of fish do start eating zebra and quagga mussels. Sturgeon, perch, sheepshead are a couple that I know of that will eat them. Zebra and quagga however reproduce at fantastic rate, so fish rarely eliminate all of them. Eyexer, in Lake Erie, spring weather conditions...

    Electric Garage Door Opener Recommendations

just put two chamberlain chain drives in garage. Did not opt for the phone control model. New chain drives are surprisingly quiet compared to previous ones.

    New to site

That's intellectual Anus to my friends. Welcome aboard, enjoy the ride. Be prepared to defend yourself. Enjoy ND outdoors. Remember every report must include how much your boat cost, how big your sonar is, how you only own St Croix rods, every walleye is over 30 inches. Oh, and every year you...

    Audubon Sunday

Finally had a chance to get out this year. I fished a mid lake hump pulling silver worm harnesses. Did well in 15-20 feet. Talked to another angler when leaving the lake. He reported doing well in 30 feet with gold blades. Weather was perfect. Good to finally get out. Other commitments have been...

    400 pound salmon

Yes, Big Chinool. A top predator like that could wreak havoc on an eco system. Catching a mature fish would be a gas though.

    400 pound salmon

No problem Mr Stevenson, I posted this to spark the imaginations on this site. A salmonid of that magnitude reminds me of the line from Jaws " I think we;re gonna need a bigger boat."

Math issues? Common sense issues? where to start?

SDMF said "Smart kid says to bully, You can never actually touch me, the distance will just keep getting cut in half but you'll never actually touch me. Whack-Whack, #fatlipandblackeye." Apparently the smart kid forgot the time also decreases between measured increments. And yes there is a point...

    400 pound salmon

Set aside the need for insane amounts of bagels and cream cheese, I can hardly imagine trying to land even a smolt of a fish like this. https://www.livescience.com/bones-ancient-beasts-california-fossil-forest.html

Math issues? Common sense issues? where to start?

Mr Stevenson, A long time ago I read an article that stated there is a specific region of the brain that deals with math. I would suppose this region may vary person to person. That being said, one thing that helped me was realizing math is a language. It is the language that describes the real...

Math issues? Common sense issues? where to start?

Great thread, have been there and done that. Brokenback has it with the deer in the headlights look. On occasion I take the time to walk the cashier through the process if there is no line behind me. It is different times. Who needs knowledge when the internet has all the answers? Just click...

    Carpentry question?

ND Sportsman, looks good, be sure everything is very dry when put in there. I do not see any way this is ventilated. Any moisture in there when the doors close will stay there. Be glad you built it when you did. 2x4 are up to $7.50. I am putting any woodworking projects on hold for a year or two.

    Old Musky

Hey I thought this thread was about a new cologne guaranteed to make fish jump in your boat. Agree the fish seems small for age.

    Possible rolling blackouts

When you have only localized energy and have a region wide event, regardless of cause, you will have serious issues. Oklahoma is on the grid that stretches to ND. Hence they have power. Most of Texas relies on one supplier not tied to grid, hence the power failures. natural gas power generation...

    Shop/man cave project

Thriller, the only advice I can give is start on paper, research, draw again and research some more. Once the hammer hits the nail, do not change or the cost will exponentially grow.

Excellent work. Was the barn siding sourced onsite or did you have to scrounge from other locations?

    Oklahoma Bigfoot Season

While I find the proposed season a good excuse to get away, I fear it will lead to no good press for ethical hunters. The other downside I see is someone being injured/killed while out bow hunting in a ghillie suit. Shooting at "Zombie Apocalypse" paper targets is fun. Having a legal season for...
