    Bow String Help

yours should have a string grub (not sure if that’s the correct term - just what I call it) on it near the bottom cam. That can be transferred to the new string if you want. It acts in the same manner as speed nocks. my dad has the same bow as you so I am familiar with it. as far as the arrows...

Clay county now is the range for Dem timbers

Track in the badlands I came across this last fall. From what I could tell, it appeared this track was less than 24 hrs old. We had a heavy rain the previous afternoon/night and it appeared very fresh compared to other tracks in the area(deer/coyotes).

    Bow String Help

There used to be a guy in Bismarck that made strings but it looks like he stopped doing them a couple years ago. 90 seems to be current prices on sets. I only checked a couple of places though. If you like the bow, keep it. If you buy a used bow, you may have to replace the string anyway...

    Please wear your orange....

E^^^^^^ while that sucks I can also understand why - pretty tough to see all the orange in the back. Also the reason why I bought an orange covering for my pack if I am using it during a rifle season. with that said - I wonder why there aren’t more violations regarding people using the “Camo”...

    frontal shots

Well, since you asked. The following is based on my own personal experience. I hunt on the ground so all my shots are at ground level. In my opinion - If your foc gets below 12% and and are shooting standard carbon arrows (no fmj, grizzly sticks or heavier inserts) The energy in that arrow...

    frontal shots

it should BUT there are a bunch of different arrows and combinations that build a “good” arrow that don’t result in passthrough shots or result in poor penetration. it’s also why there are people posting (not here but on other sites) I hit a deer and only got 4 or 6 inches of penetration -...
