I think the game and fish has done an outstanding job with some of our pothole lakes …aka sloughs. More specifically with walleyes. I don’t remember having as many “lakes” with such quality fish, or walleye at all, towards the turn of the century.
I should clarify…these are “target” loads.
The first .75-1 MOA I get at the proper velocity I stop with “hunting” loads. I don’t chase accuracy with those. Very often.
I shoot multiple 10-20 shot groups at various ranges in different conditions before I settle.
I start with 5 shot groups to weed out anything undesirable
I think you have to do the whole thing. Not 100% on that, but I do know you have to re-shoot every 5 years.
I used to have the Utah CCP since it HAD reciprocity with MN. I have since let it lapse when that went away.
I try to stay out of MN as much as possible anyway. I don’t feel the need...
