All new chevrolet 1500 pickem up trucks...

I have a 14 Sierra 1500 5.3. Bought it new and it currently has 171,000 miles. I disabled the AFM around 90,000 miles. Haven't had any issues before or after disabling it. Burns about the same amount oil (about a quart between 7500 mile oil changes). Used a Diablo tuner to turn it off. Found it...

    Onix 10 SI

I have two Onix 8's (one SI and one 2D that are networked together) and overall I like them. Not sure how familiar you are with Humminbird's but the user interface on the Onix units (now Solix) is completely different than the Helix's. The Onix interface is a little more complicated than the...

360 Mega Imaging vs. Side Imagining

I can see 360 being helpful if you spend a lot of time in the bow casting baits as I assume the boat needs to be still for it to work effectively. Note that Humminbird is coming out with their rendition of Panoptix/Live Scope (called MEGA Live) sometime this spring. If you want to stick with...

    Ice Fishing Boots and Socks

I have a pair of Cabelas pac boots that I wear when fishing in the portable. Never gotten cold feet in these boots. They have removeable liners which I really like. Take them out at the end of the day to let everything air out. If I'm going to be in a wheel house than I'll just wear my insulated...

    Small Propane Tank

Yes you can see through it when you hold it up to the light. Correct they were recalled. From the research I did there were some issues with some tanks but I couldn't find anything widespread. Also appears the company wasn't documenting these issues correctly which is what probably did them...

    Small Propane Tank

I have had one of these fiberglass 10lb tanks for a few years now. Works great in the portable with a Buddy heater. Very light and a little smaller in diameter than 20lb tank. Believe the company that made these tanks went out of business so they aren't available anymore.

    Upland bird vest?

I've had this one now for a couple seasons: https://banded.com/product/big-stone-upland-oxford-vest/ Only one I could find with the shell tubes. I don't think Columbia makes that one vest others have mentioned.

    si versus di

I would still go with an SI model. As far as I know, all SI models have DI capability. Do you plan to keep your 1199 and run the new unit along side it? This would allow you to dedicate the new unit to SI and the old to 2D/DI/GPS. My primary gripe with SI is it's a lot information packed into...

    Electrical Interference

Wouldn't recommend powering the sonar off the trolling motor batteries. Probably get more interference. Is the wiring for both the sonar and the pump separate (not sharing a common pos or ground) back to the battery?

    Tires "AGAIN"

Though not quite as aggressive as the AT3 XLT, Cooper does offer their AT3 LT in your size. They actually list two versions in that size. I believe "E" rating is heavier then "C".

    Tires Recommendation ?

That's what I currently have on my Sierra 1500. Overall they have been good and would recommend. Have about 45,000 miles on them and they still have at least 10,000 left on them. Have been good in snow/rain, aren't loud, appear to be wearing good, and were priced reasonable. They also look...

    Kicker advice?

I don't know about any rules but I'm pretty sure the fish can tell (particularly walleyes). Also heard they prefer EFI kickers cause carbs are "so 20th century".

    New Vexilar

I wonder if the broad band transducer is similar to CHIRP?

You mess with a bison you get the horns

I'm assuming this was the incident 5575 mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWRT2nW6VpE "Dramatic footage shows the moment a woman was charged at by an adult bison after she approached a calf to take up-close photographs. Before she reached the calf, the bison knocked her to the ground...

    Crank pulling help

I have four line counter combos. All have 10lb Fireline on them. Two are 8'6" rods that go 90 deg off the sides. Two are shorty 5' rods I run off the back corners at about a 45 deg angle. The rods are Cabelas (don't recall model but they are fiberglass). Two of the rods have Daiwa AccuDepth...

Maps of Sakakawea with bay names

The Navionics web app has Sakakawea labeled pretty well: https://webapp.navionics.com/ Also recommend their phone app. When I was in the bait shop at Dakota Waters they had some printed out maps available for sale. Didn't look at them too close (they definitely weren't LakeMaster).
