Ndoutdoors hit the nail on the head everyone has an opinion. I always give the we example. My neighbor and I was fishing MN opener a few years back the one year pulled in three times the fish I did with a legend rod for rigging. The next year I am using a Scheels model (same rod as opener the prior year) I went 3 to zero. He throws. Down the legend and grabs one of mine and started picking up fish. The rod brand had no bearing it was all in the flexibility and taper we were both using shiners and red hooks same weight. (that was our go to to start the am).
