Lincoln/Bismarck Area residents we need your help! On the morning of Sunday November 17, witnesses observed an individual shoot a deer from a vehicle and drive off. The deer was just north of Northgate Dr approximately a mile north of the city of Lincoln. Witnesses described the vehicle that the shot came from as a Dodge pickup, diesel engine, light grey or silver in color, quad cab, long box, custom black bumpers and black graphics on the side. Please call the Report All Poaching (RAP) hotline at 1-800-472-2121 (if you are calling from an out-of-state area code use 701-328-9921) Or Warden Erck at 701-320-2005

so the vehicle description narrows it down to around 1,000 trucks?

I actually thought it should get narrowed down a lot with that description. Yes there are a lot of Dodge crewcab diesels with custom bumpers but there can't be many around that are silver/gray WITH black graphics on the side.

Find the loser and tie his ass to a tree during calving season with his pants pulled down to his ankles.

Such a shame a nice buck like that went to waste. Hopefully someone was able to salvage the meat

I say they should implement a program where if you get caught poaching, you are forced to sign a purchase agreement for a set amount of land that you must make payments on but then is immediately gifted as state land open to all. Gonna take our natural resources? Then you're gonna buy land and give that back 10-fold. Should make scum like that think twice before pulling that trigger. If you can't tell, I have a serious problem with poachers!

If they find him, and the guy has a valid tag, all he has to do is claim "he didn't think he hit it" so he drove off to look for another deer.

All the GF will do is force him to tag it.

Lincoln, kinda...
Guy, it was shot from the vehicle according to the original post. That's illegal for all but a few unlucky people.

And I'm reasonably sure that it was on posted land in that area.

So I am thinking at a minimum there is an unlawful taking by shooting from a vehicle, and hunting without permission charges for this douche canoe.
