I had a bunch of new trail cam pics come in last night near Killdeer.
No animals observed... but temps kept climbing with time. From 82F at 10 pm and peaked at 91F degree at 10:30. About a dozen triggers in a half hour.
I suspect a heat burst. Radar did show a blossom event just north. Anybody else see a bunch of false triggers in the area?
Example of a heat burst the other day.

NDAWN doesn't indicate rain in the last 24hours there. I let the dogs out this morning around 5 (Dickinson) and it felt like a blast furnace. I also didn't see much for wind last night.

Must have been a wind direction switch or something else then. Kind of odd for temps to climb 10 degrees at 10:00 pm. And for my camera to go on a crazy motion sensing frenzy at the same time.
BTW, rain doesn't need to hit the ground for rain to cause a heat burst. They're due to decaying thunderstorms. Compressional heating of air I guess.
