I would agree if this was the first time. Call federal, Hornady, etc. They will
set the record straight. I can’t imagine these manufacturing companies are on board with being put out of business.

This shortage will not end in 2022 though. When you see 222, 220 swift, 250 savage, 6mm Remington, 7-30 waters, etc back on the shelf, it will be over. No manufacturer is going to retool for non popular cartridges at the moment. 5.56, 243 win, 6.5 creed, 270 win, 30-06, 12 gauge is going to be the focus for the short term.

I don't GAF. At one time the '08 was a manbun rd. For several tangible reasons the .30/06 will always have a place in my heart. The report of an '06 contains a shitton of history and should not be disrespected. It's a beautiful case and fuck the 7 Mauser. I'm also sick of metric sockets and weasels (except F-4's).
