My grandson recently picked up a Seekens 7 PRC. I woukd like one myself, but my most accurate rifle is my 300 Win mag with a heavy 28+ inch barrel. However the ones that get the most attention are my 6.5 Creedmoors. The 24 inch lighter barrel started out as a 22-250, but I put a Criterion Creedmoor barrel on it set at .001 inch over minimum SAMI specks for head space. That works the brass less for longer life. For accuracy I neck turn all my 6.5 brass. Neck tension on my Creedmoor brass is controlled with a .286 bushing in my RCBS Gold Medal bushing die. Also for consistency I throw my powder charge .1 grain heavy (41.6 g with 140g bullet) then use a light tweezer to pick out one kernel of powder at a time until the scale drops to my desired weight of 41.5g. The reason the 7 PRC interests me is because it's another cartridge I could play with like my Creedmoors. It's a challenge to develope a load that beats what you currently have and I think I'm at the end of improvement on my Creedmore loads. Check out the standard deviation on these 140g Berger VLDs. Pushing that bullet to over 3000 fps with R26 is not as consistent. This is about the best I can do.
