That depends on many things. My handguns I simply throw because that should be consistent to 100 yards. I like to use ball powder for my .223, 22-250 etc. so I can simply throw them. The 6.5 Creed, 308 Win, and 300 WM I will have to use the scale to determine. Since it usually only takes three to five kernels of H4350 to change a .1 gr weight I'm guessing a single kernel must be .02 to .04 gr. My guess is for my 41.5 gr load I will try for 41.52 to 41.54. I'm trying for that now, but my scale evidently drifts even .1 and I have to zero for every load. Of course this scale is actually only accurate to .005 grams which I think is only slightly over .01 grain. My limitation will be dependent on the smallest kernel I can quickly see and add or take from the pan. I have not shot my semi- custom 308 for about a year. I must have gotten a strange lot of Varget because I had higher pressure than I like and was 2780 fps with a 178 ELD-X. Factory is 2600 fps. My old 44 g loads had always been 2730 fps. My load for years has been 44g of Varget, but I loaded 50 at 43.5 and 50 at 43. The photo is 43.5 but I forgot my chronograph at home. Pressure was still a little high, but it grouped better than 43g. My scope was slightly low ( actually the dot is so small I held where I could see it upper left of the crosshair. The last three I blotted out the dot) on the first shot, but accuracy was acceptable. With .25 clicks I can't really adjust .125 inch right.
