Took the kids tubing outta Hazen bay today. Significant wind and hail damage from About 1/4 to 4 miles south of the campground Trees are bare, crops and pastures pounded into the ground

That is a spitten image of my camper ---- they sell those protectors -- a must in my opinion. Why they ever went away from alum i do not know (cost most likely)

I went through this with my last camper, so I bought 3 of those Camco vent covers are a must in my opinion. I put them on the camper we have now, right after we bought it. They are super easy to install.

I didn’t think about that. Mostly because I don’t buy toys I can’t pay cash for.
agree! the same way. i called recently checking on a camper for the folks and asked what the interest rates were- 60-180 month and 6.5%-13% depending on term and credit score. insane!

Our lake place was right in the middle of it. Neighbors 60x84 shop was taken to the ground, allot of big trees were blown over.
Know of some folks who were watching thier wind speed guage and it got up to 106 mph before it broke!

Do the vents still open after installing these covers? Would you mind sharing a link for the type you are talking about? TIA

They probably would take a beating but are cheaper to replace than vent/screen combo. If bad enough, it would most likely get both but your campers gonna be totalled anyhow.
Had the vent cover fail on my last camper but fortunately it was above the toilet and the toilet seat was up so any water just ended up in the holding tank. It seemed that the plastic was really brittle and rotten from too much sun I am guessing. These covers would at least shade the original covers so they would keep the water out even if the Maxx Air cover sustained some damage.

Would hate to have the cover in the bedroom fail during a heavy storm. Don't want a wet mattress!

A wet mattress isn’t always bad.
